Thousands Throng Tralee for Culture Night 4,988 dancers thronged Denny Street on Friday 25th September for a World Record Dancing Attempt. It was all part of the national Culture Night celebrations which continued over the weekend. Free shows, organic cook-off, mime, basket weaving, movies, late night art, children’s theatre, music festival and steam threshing in Blennerville were all part of the weekend programme organised by Siamsa Tíre, Kerry County Museum and Samhlaíocht Chiarraí, supported by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, Tralee Town Council and Kerry County Council

Thousands Salute Kerry’s Football HeroesOver 20,000 thousand people thronged Denny Street  on Monday evening (Sept 21) to welcome home the Kerry Football Team  following their great victory over Cork in the All-Ireland Senior Football Final in Croke Park on Sunday.  Deputy Mayor of Tralee Cllr. Mairéad Fernane paid tribute to the team.
